Is the Fulcrum bb system the same as the Campag Ultra Torque (Record, Chorus) or the Campag Power Torque (Athena, Centaur)?
Thanks!

There are three levels of fulcrum cranks, but all are ultra-torque.

Why bugger? Ultra Torque is far superior to Power Torque and BB cups are dirt cheap.

perhaps Ulty is a masochist who enjoys using a badly designed crank system?

Hehe, no masochist here, just a cheapskate ;)

I have a cracked BSA frame w/ Athena on it which I need to move over to a new ITA frame but could only find the ITA fulcrum bb locally, guess I'll just have to order the ITA power torque then.

I actually think that in the heat of the moment on the rivet, the single thumb shift of Athena is a bit more positive than my Chorus whose thumb action is very light.

... Well the powertorque interface is really bad. Even the specifically designed tools by Parktool don't work 100% of the time in extracting them !
Turns out, you're better off with an industrial bearing puller and a suitably sized washer/ plate instead !

Yeah, if I had to do again, I def wouldn't get the Athena chainset, but it's what's I got now and I've gotta get my ride built up before Sunday so whatever goes at this point!
