Looks like I'm getting a dengfu fm029 isp frame soon.
having done a search it seems the isp topper is a bit rubbish. Having looked around the outer diameter of the isp is 37.2mm can anybody tell me which lightweight alternative I can buy or confirm what you have on your dengfu bike?

I use one of these frames. The drawing shows 37mm, but I've not measured the top of my seat tube. And ... after lots of looking I have not been able to find a better alternative.

Toppers from 2 manufacturers may be suitable:

Problem is that it's an oddball size.

Re. Woodman, I contacted them last year and they told me that 34.9 was the only size currently available.
Of course that could have now changed.

@brearley
are you sure it's 37.2? It seems to be a strange size.

Anyone know if the Ritchey WCS 1-Bolt Mast Topper, 38.35mmx70mm fits this frame? That's the same size as the largest Tune Cappy. Maybe it needs a shim?

Any aftermarket ISP toppers need to be shimmed, eg with sheets cut out from cans. Which will increase the chance on seatpost slippage. I kept the original topper because of this. Problem is, it has too much setback for my liking. Grrr

If the diameter is the same as the fm015, then you 'can' fit a kcnc, but it requires significant dremmeling. I wouldn't recommend it.

Good product to make then and sell to all the FM028/9 owners out there. I ride an s-works tarmac and a ridley helium and I want to try one of these frames after reading all the chinese carbon threads. So curious how it will compare.

I should be finding out when my frame will arrive soon then after painting I will see whether the weight saving between the standard and ritchey one is big enough. Setback won't be an issue for me just depends on weight savings.
Buying this as a race bike so I'm hoping its plenty stuff and handles well.
