I bought these brakes and i have the powercordz but the clamp is not going to be in for 3-4 weeks and i wanted to run them with the steel cords until the clamps come in but last night i had the hardest time having the clamp stay, after a couple of pulls it would fall down. There is pic all over the place for how to install with the powercordz and i will be needing that but there is none for the steel cables that i could find on the searches. i was wondering if anyone has something that would help me. Right now the clamp bolt is slipping down. I only started looking at it last night so i was going to go home today and really look at it. Any help would be great thanks.

Make sure you do not have the clamps upside down..

Sounds like you have it upside down, the big hole should be down. That way the clamp bites into the cable as it tries to get pulled through.

And make sure to use a torque wrench when tightening.
