Maybe I am missing something obvious, but here is a pic of the inside of my Veloflex Corsa.

Some companies by products from another and rebrand them. Others have products manufactured by other companies for them.

I know that much, but I didn't know about a Veloflex-Schwalbe cooperation. They still have made in Italy on them.

No doubt. Those are not Schwalbes. The folded over "open tubular" design does not fit Schwalbes MO. Plus, last time I checked, Schwalbe didn't use cotton casings.

That exact text is written on Schwalbe Inner tubes, though. Some kind of transfer effect?

Mr. Muncher might be on to something. 18-28 isn't exactly a common tire size. :D

Only used them with vredenstein latex tubes.. Maybe the shop have mounted them before? But I remember they arrived sealed in the box. The transfer makes a lot of sense though.

but if it were a transfer from a tube, would it not be mirrored?

15 is the number for their racing innertube,
Indeed, it should be mirrored.
Maybe Schwalbe and Veloflex are made in the same factory?

Last time I checked open tubular = clincher with added marketing.

Right it suddenly all makes sense, sorry for the fuss

I mirrored the pic before I upload it just to be easier for reading. And I remember I got a flat while I was my way to the tourmalet and bought a schwalbe tube of a local shop. It was a very hot day (probably around 35+) so I assume in the descent the wheels got hot and thats how the mark got there.

Now I probably need to go to a doctor and check the memory gaps

An open tubular as apposed to a clincher would be a tire with a high thread count cotton casing, with a glued on tread (so as not to effect the casing's feel) that would normally be sewn into a tubular. that has instead had it's edges folded around a bead to be used on clincher wheels. Clinchers tend to be lower thread count, nylon cased tires that have everything vulcanized together. And the two ride very differently.
