Weight Weenies

So, i've got a handlebar coming in, it's supposedly a 44cm 3T Ergosum ltd. I got it on amazon for $200 new.

My question is, when it arrives, how can I tell if it's fake or not? I will of course weigh it right away. For those that don't know, there is a ton of fake bars floating around on ebay and alibaba, with some prices as low as $59. When I bought mine, i messaged the guy to see where he was from. He's based in NY, and his amazon shop has a couple other parts priced at normal but reasonable prices.

The problem is, the chinese copies might actually weigh the same... i've seen pictures of them on a scale on aliexpress... unless they just had one real one to show its weight.

You can easily fake those scale weights with the "tare" function.

I have the 3T Ergosum Ltd. 44cm on my bike.Allthough it was mounted by the original owner ,I know that,
It comes mounted on a 3T black cardboard piece.
It has a sticker sheet attached to with 8 x 3T stickers. 4x 3T and 4x www.3tcycling.com
It has a barcode within the end of the bend on the right side.
It has a weight of 178gr(179) for the 44cm bar.
You can ask 3T customer service mentioning the barcode. They are always helpful.

Looks as original to me.

I hope they are (stem Ltd as well).
If not that would mean that CRC and Wiggle deal with fakes.....

also, I don't see any barcode...

I got mine in today. It came with no box and weighs 232 g for a 44cm... oh boy. Look like someone's gonna be returning this
