Getting ready to put these on. I have si sl armes and a new spider ring. Which parts of the spindle should be greased? Any guidelines on the number of shims to me used on a super six evo?
Many, many, many threads on this.

SiSl2 Install Guide
In regards to the number of shims, install the cranks using just the standard DS and NDS spacers and wave washer. Torque to 40nm and see how many shims you can fit in the space between the NDS spacer and the bearing shield to fully compress the wave washer. This is the number of shims you'll need.
On my bike, I use one 1mm shim.

If you want to do it how it's supposed to be done, do not grease the spidering or the lockring. Cannondale specs Loctite 242 for both places, although I consider the spline interface a retaining ring type of fitment and go with 603/609. You should grease all other contact points, bolt threads and bolt head face, spindle spline, etc.
Tcurtbike's method of determining the ideal number of washers is the best way. Just make sure that the crank is fully bottoming out every time.
