hi
Im hoping someone can help.
I currently ride a scott foil 2015 model...so no the latest one...
size 56
130 stem -12 zipp sprint slammed
saddle height 755 specialised power not sure if this matters but its a different fit to other saddles
my bars are envy aero ses
Now
i had a bad crash sunday at a local race resulting on a nasty crack on my frame...going through insurance atm
i also have a caad10 with a 120 slated stem( i wish it was 130cm but still fits nicely
im looking i can't decide between a few different bikes
a) the new FOIL prob the team one... not sure i like the way the new one looks but i know they are a great bike
b) BMC SLRR01 haven't got experience i would test when time comes( for now i can only ride indoor due to extended skin growth...aka healing)
c) CANYON AEROAD don't know the sizing of this one.... the headtuve looks short on the size M and tall on the L
id say im M because of the tt size 560 mm just like my other bikes
any help would be awesome...
comparing
helping me with size of aeroad?
the BMC SLR01 appeals to me... but im drawn to aero after having enjoyed the FOIL
is the BMC stiff in the front end for hard sprints and uphill big sprints?
how about the abroad...somewhere i read the abroad is flex in the front and bars for bigger sprinters
thanks

Bought a caad12 at good price from a friend without trying the size, but the size guide says that Im right in the middle of "58" with 184cm in height and 89 in leg length. Cant be wrong right? 56 is from 178 to 182cm and 58 from 182 to 188. My be a matter of what fints you best I guess...

Well... The bike got delivered a couple of days ago in size 56 and another color than I was told (I dont mind the color though).
58 was the ordered size and 56 is the size I got. I know many fairly tall riders prefere 56 so I guess ill be fine. My legs are fairly long and the seatpost has alot of extra in it... caad12 2017.

Worst case scenario would be a longer stem I guess. The seller told me that 2016 was 15mm shorter than 2017. Nothing Ive noticed in geo charts though.

Hey guys, I'm looking to get a Canyon Ultimate SL, but I'm not sure on sizing. I'm ~179cm with 84 inseam, currently riding a road bike with 75cm saddle height (from BB).

From their calculator, I'm just at the lower threshold of size M. For the M the saddle height is between 72cm and 82cm, so mine would be very near the lower end, while the S is between 69 and 79cm. So should I get an S or an M? W I prefer a more relaxed, not so stretched position, but I'm not sure if the S would have too much drop, or if the M would have too long a reach.

It helped out :)

Was a bit worried but Ive been riding some trainer sessions with it and its all good in size. Probably more good than a 58 size. My pretty long legs is no match for the seatpost (think ive got 160mm sticking out of the frame).
Im a mtber so I feel a bit stretched out. Bikefit on friday will settle that question.

Hey guys! Need your advice with a new bike.
My friend recommened me to choose one of these models
https://www.bestadvisor.com/road-bikes
Now I can't decide between GMC Denali and Merax Finiss Aluminum. They have similar characteristics but GMS looks better as for me. But Merax is much cheaper. What do you think?

Hi guys, Im hoping for some answered about my hurting knee. I've just finished my latest build around a cdale supersix. Everything is the same as my old bike, but stupid as I am, I forgot to measure the seat height and position of the sadle. After I've been riding the bike a few times I got this pain just above the knee. Is their like a golden rule that if the pain is on the top your saddle is to far back or something like that? I know their is no general answer, just hoping to get some tips on what to correct.

Thanks!

Please help!

Looking at a Focus Izalco Max and the sizing between the 50 and 52 are so similar.

Height: 171cm

Inseam: 80cm

Torso: 138cm

Arms 60cm

Seat Height: 70cm

Im on a Trek Emonda ALR 54 which feels too stretched with a 90mm slammed stem (HT 15.5cm Reach 38.6). However, have been on quite a few pain free centuries, so I think being a little stretched out might be good for me.

@sooni - what was your spacer height on the 54 ALR? That frame has a stack height of 555 and these are -40mm and -35mm lower respectively. I have the same metrics as you, but individual fit differs...for myself, I would probably go XS with 20mm top/spacers and a 120-130mm stem (that's still ~15mm lower than the Trek w/o spacers).

So I'm looking for a frame with around ~407 of reach and 533-553mm of stack, with a sloping top tube (more aggressive slope = better). I've trawled through a fair few catalogues and couldn't find anything like this, and I don't really want to use a 140mm stem... (Will be using 120mm for 407mm of reach and slammed 17 degrees for 553mm of stack). Thanks in advance!

So you're looking for something with the reach of a 62, but the stack of a 52??
Good luck!!!

@istigatrice - Are you calculating stack/reach to the center of the bar? You should use frame-only stack/reach for comparing frames, then you'll find many frames that fit this range.

I have the 1.5cm headset cap on the Trek. I found the frame calculator and saw about a 4mm difference in reach and around 20mm lower stack with the 52. I suppose any real difference would be made with the 50cm which has a 10mm shorter reach than the Trek (albeit lower stack). I like a stable ride so I hope the smaller wheelbase top tube, etc doesn't make it too twitchy.
