Finally made it.

120g post from Aliexpress replaced the stock 200g anchor.

In that picture it's sporting 1050g 24mm deep tubies which are a full 200g lighter than my 35mm Bora Ones.
LTK 118 frame&fork
SRAM red, ultegra cassette
SISL2, praxis rings
Schmolke bars, extralite stem
100g chinese knockoff saddle
DA 9000 front brake, Zero Gravity rear
Vector 3 pedals.

Considering the pedals by themselves are over 320g, i'm pretty pleased.

EDIT: a further 40g will be shaved off in a couple of weeks when 18g aliexpress carbon bottle cages arrive. I'm debating on whether to keep the weight savings or dump the huge pain in the ass that is the Zero Gravity and fit a matching DA9000 rear brake and be done with it after fighting these calipers for close to 10 years...

I have the 085 frameset and it's a rather boring and unexciting ride. Pretty sure this is a proprietary mold as opposed to a " copy" of a tried and tested frameset. Much prefer my 066 frameset but that's just me.
Thanks for your input, bikergrove. Can you elaborate on why you think it's boring and unexciting?
just my option on the frameset. it's not particularly stiff, it's not particularly aero and the position is fairly upright with a longer wheelbase. My ave speed is quicker on my 066 which is a much more aggressive frameset. FWIW I don't think the 066 is stiffer than the 085 ( all Chinese bikes are a bit noodly, right?) It just doesn't excite.

With that being said, I think I paid around £300 including shipping and a custom paint job which isn't bad. Stupidly I got a custom color which means it has very little resale value, otherwise, i'd probably flip it.

Not OP but my take is that there's just nothing special about it. Standard compact frame shape, non aero profile, not lightweight, nothing integrated. Just pretty basic.

Thanks again for the replies. I'm looking to put together an endurance bike for century rides, so I don't know how I feel about having too much of an aggressive geometry. Does the 066 have enough clearance for 28mm tires?

I used 066 for 1 year with a pair of fulcrum 5 lg, fitting 25mm continental grand prix tires (which actually came close to 27.5) and they were fine.

Can anyone with an FM008 in 54cm confirm the stack and reach? It seems odd that the reach would be less than the 52. Just want to be sure. Will be replacing my FM066SL which has developed some issues.
Roughly on mine I measured:
Stack: ~21" (53.34cm)
Reach ~16" (40.64cm)

So I would say their geometry listed on the site is correct.
On the 54? Not sure how that matches the chart..?
Sorry, I didn't have calipers nor a way to jig up my frame to get the correct dimensions. False claim on my part.
No bother. Cheers for the attempt.

I have run 28mm on the 066 but it's a tight squeeze. I have to completely deflate the rear tyre to take the wheel off. Not sure it's worth it to be honest,. As another poster mentioned, the conti's 4000s ii come to 27mm. I can confirm this on my rims.

unless you're an old man with a bad back, i don't really get the appeal of endurance bikes. Just get a bike that fits properly.

I purchased a TT frame from Tantan and am almost ready to build it.

Wondering if I can use a normal groupset on it, or electronic only, as there does not seem to be enough places to run gear/brake lines?!

Wondering where to run them?!

Go back and look at the website where you ordered it. It has pics and diagrams as to how to run the cables.

Thanks there was enough there to get a decent idea.

I pulled off the rear brakes so I could access the cable routing outer, and may have stuffed up the spring.

Does anyone know what kind of brakes these are, or maybe if I could buy the tension spring:

Lol. Looks like a poorly done copy of the Madone 9 series brakes. I think TRP makes those for Trek. Could try TRP directly or walk into any Trek dealer and have them order the spring. It might fit. Might not.

Thanks, they look similar but the Trek brakes mount the "wrong" way. ie from behind.
Will try the spring tho, might get lucky.
