Thanks for pointing that out. Didnt notice the different geo. I was looking at the workswell but they didnt come in BB30. The aliexpress is more expensive than the workswell too.waltthizzney wrote: ↑Sun Feb 18, 2018 6:39 amthe geo is way different, not the same mould...rotisusu wrote: ↑Sat Feb 17, 2018 4:15 amLooks like the Workswell R-093.waltthizzney wrote: ↑Thu Feb 15, 2018 4:02 amcheck this out

the workswell 156 has pretty aggressive geometry, although the frame is a little heavy

I noticed right when I recieved the frame but I hadn't remembered till a a few hours ago...
I noticed there are the threaded holes on the bottom of the left chainstay... Anybody know what these might be for? A quick google search suggested it might be a kickstand mount but i'd find that rather surpising on a light, racy frame like these open moulds... then again with chinese manufacturing you never know...
Any clues?

Hi all,
Can any recommend a disc brake specific frameset that will comfortably accommodate 28mm tyres and 30 if possible?
I'm thinking about building up something to replace my Kinesis Tripster ATR. I'm not much of a gravel/CX rider and do more club rides and races.
I'd like something that feels fast but comfortable on longer club rides. I might be asking a lot but mudguard mounts would be ideal as it'll double up as my winter/commuting bike. Not a deal breaker though.
I've had a look at this: http://www.workswellbikes.com/PRODDUCT/ ... 9/140.html
And this: http://www.workswellbikes.com/PRODDUCT/ ... 5/177.html
I don't mind if it's aero or not just as long as it's not too heavy.
Thank for the advice
Dan

I am looking for a frame that meets this brief too. I wish that Workswell would post a picture of the 166 you linked to above, I haven't seen any built up on here either so wouldn't be overly enthused about buying on spec.
The 30mm wheels and mudguards are not necessarily a must.
I’ve been looking at the Focus Paralane which has room for 30s and mudguards which is why I thought there might be an open mold frameset that was similar.
As long as the frameset can accommodate wide rims with 28’s and is light and fast I’ll consider it.

Dan, I've purchased a WCB-R-093 disc fork recently and can say that it has way more clearance than my old HF-FK166. Check out the attached photos, the 25mm Schwalbe Pro One tire on a 20mm ID rim measures 28.3mm but there's still several millimeters worth of space all around it: ~2.5mm to the sides (2mm key fits, 3mm doesn't) and 5mm+ between crown and tire top. I think a the fork can accomodate anything that measures 30mm. Maybe even a fender like Crud Roadracer.tnkn wrote: ↑Sat Feb 24, 2018 7:07 pmCan any recommend a disc brake specific frameset that will comfortably accommodate 28mm tyres and 30 if possible?

I wonder if your fork is a newer model compared to mine. I seem to have similar clearances with my 25mm Corsa's. Definitely wouldn't stick a 30mm tire (or even a wide 28mm tire) in there.Klaster1 wrote: ↑Sun Feb 25, 2018 10:09 amDan, I've purchased a WCB-R-093 disc fork recently and can say that it has way more clearance than my old HF-FK166.
