An impulse buy, which was then resold now has potential to turn into a nightmare.

In brief I bought a Reynolds wheelset with a Tune rear hub. From what I could gather it is an early Mag180. The freewheel bearings seem to be shot and need replacement.

Do any of you know where I could source said bearings from? Or if any online shops sell replacement freewheels? So far I found it on starbike and hibike in Germany?

You need to talk to Poshbikes to get replacement bearings.

Spoke to poshbikes already, they claim it needs a new freewheel and cant do the bearings seperately.

As much as I love bikes and cycling, so much I sometimes hate the industry. Sometimes things just don't make sense at all.

Freewheel bearings can't be replaced? That's a new one for me. Freewheel bearings are standard size. You don't need the XO bearing. Unless there's more wrong with it that wasn't mentioned here.

Yep. I'd use SKF 2RS ones if I were you as I think that's what Tune uses.
SKF often puts a 1 after the 6 in their nomenclature. (61902-2RS and 61802-2RS in this case)

What the hell did we do before internet forums if something like this happened?

Tune no longer makes freehub bodies for the Mag180. I'm on my 5th or 6th set of Tuns hubs. I'm in love with the sound and the smoothness of the hub itself. Fairwheel Bikes should be able to send you a bearing if you're in need. They're running out of 180 spare parts, but I don't think a bearing should be that unique to a Tune hub.

We have the freehubs and bearings on stock. Tune mostly sent distributors full freehubs with pawls,springs and bearings but you could buy from the them all the parts individualy. The problem with earlier models is that they use the XOT bearing on the middle. Some people have been able to use two bearings together instead of the XOT. The other bearings are regular ones you can find easily.

Yes....the XOT is in stock. We have the Tune tools for replacint all bearings, it's a very simple job.
If you don't have the tune tools you need something to push the bearing out (round cylinder) and also for installation.
You could tap them in and out if you don't have access to a press
