When set to imperial measurements when it reads for example 16.09 lbs does that mean 16 pounds 9 ounces or is the .09 a decimal proportion of a pound? (i.e. 0.09x16ozs)

many thanks

Mike

Park tool's scale measures in pounds-ounces. A reading of 16 09 would be 16 lbs and 9 ounces, so an ounce over 16 1/2 lbs.

Hmmm...you sure about that? So if the scale shows a reading of 1.54, that would equate to 1lb and 54oz...or 4.375lbs?

If it reads 1.54 you must have it set for kg. I have a DS-1 and am just confirming the measures. But it started giving erratic readings (a different reading each time you weighed exactly the same thing). Replaced the batteries and same thing. Finally gave up and got a different scale. I liked the scale and it seemed fine and I still have no idea why it went wonky. It wasn't abused, and hardly got used. Maybe it was just a freak fault but it was out of warranty so I replaced it with a different scale.

trial end error it. see what it is in metric then convert it, should have your answer 50/50.
