Kind of depends on the rings. I know some had pretty good results and some have not. I know the original O Symmetric rings didn't have any shifting ramps or pins so things were a bit spotty as far as shifting performance goes. Not sure if they have been updated. Wiggo and few other guys on Sky run the O Symmetric rings with Di2? Haven't seen/heard any mishaps during a race. I'm sure it really comes down to a correct set up.
A friend of mine rode for Team Sky and used the rings for a few years. He didn't mind the rings for shifting, but eventually thought that they weren't good for his style of riding. He gave them to me and I have been messing-around with them. Di2 can handle just about anything, so there is no problem with the shifting. If you can get on with the rings themselves, you will have no problem with the Di2 shifting.
