Hi, i bought a new old stock cervelo S2 2018 with full Ultegra r8000 last year october. (White green)

Very happy with It but i now ordered a cheap old saddle that i want to experiment with (taking the padding off and polishing the carbon, maybe even cut a reliëf in the middle)
i think its the fizik carbon twinflex pro with carbon rails 7x9.

Has cervelo given the 2018 S2 compatibility with Oval rails?

And what is the last model iteration of the S2? I cant find a lot about the 2018 version

BTW my weight is 64kg if that matters

The stock saddle clamp is compatible with 7mm round rails only, but there is a replacement clamp for oval carbon rails:

"Cervelo Seatpost Head - Seatpost - Excel Sports" https://www.excelsports.com/main.asp?pa ... DsQAvD_BwE

Note the drop down for version. 2018 or 2019 would have been the last year for the S2. That is the same frame as that generation of S3 with a different fork. The S3 was offered with a disc brake option in the last few years of that gen, then a the new model came in 2020.

I don't believe the S2 was ever offered with disc and was not carried over to the new gen.

Hope some of that helps.

Thanks for the reply! Kind of a Bummer that i need a new clamp. The saddle should come in next week and although the rails are carbon im not sure if they are Oval.
This is the saddle, maybe anyone knows?

Planning to strip the padding and make a cheap semi light bare carbon saddle

I am not sure on that saddle, but I aquired the oval rails clamp for use with a Fizik Anteres E1 Versus Evo which has carbon 7x9 rails.
