Had a pair of xpresso's for 2 weeks (1000k's). Destroyed the right pedal today unclipping, ripped the back of the pedal clean off. Looking at the design a bit closer there is not alot of material around the pivot where it cracked unlike the Iclic 2's. Not a great start. Disclosure: I had a pair of Iclic's (first gen) crack but not break in a similar manner.

It was just as I got home this morning so no real drama but my mouth did drop open as I don't think I have ever had anything break in only two weeks before.

My Time iClics (original model) also broke at the hinge - after only 850km. The "plastic around metal" design of the hinge was absolutely ridiculous. While I was impressed the the idea and design of the iClic, the execution and fabrication of the pedal was very poor and cheap. Sadly for Time, I will not waste my money or safety on their pedals ever again.

Maybe it's time for Time to release RXS Ulteam Classic (or RXS Carbon Ti Classic), sort of like Coke did with Coca Cola Classic after New Coke fizzled. Maybe some parts of the pedal and cleat are better off remaining metal.
