Hi,

As a little preamble:

http://weightweenies.starbike.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=96631&p=951360#p951360

Now that the tone is set, I know that some of you do dream up their own ideal* tyres overnight so I wonder what they would need to be like for you so you could perform at your peak?

*I'm having racing tyres in mind and not much else. Clincher, tubular, tubeless (where are you?) round or square I do not care. Rimes doesn't it... :P

Ciao, ;)

Black chili compound. High thread count, I'm thinking along the lines of Vittoria's polycotton blend, but maybe poly-silk? Vectran breaker, carbon bead to go with the tubeless bead profile. No butyl airtight liner, though. Completely round tread profile, no center peak. Tread pattern like Competitions, but a little finer. 23.3mm front, 25.5mm rear, because a little bigger is a little better!
