How can I tell what size my crankset rings are the outer one says 53-A and the inner ring says 42-A does that mean they are a 53/42 ??

I have counted the teeth and they match the numbers so I assume they are

To add a little more they are designed to work together to shift best. A 53B and 39B are designed to work together. From what I understand the tooth profiles and shift ramps are different depending up with combination you have.
