Hi guys, i was at the lightbikemeeting of BTP. I saw something what will find place on the most bikes here. Carbon hoods. Lighter as his first hoods. They are so nice. Will be in his shop in the next month.

I wonder what's the price will be. A more important ? is whether you'll get any grip and exactly the grams saved. Campy hoods are too light already. In fact, I'd prefer the campy hoods to be thicker like the Dura Ace....but alas this is weightweenies.

Those are really pretty but don't look padded, are they? Will they splinter?

That's a really nice table cloth.

What will the carbon be like from a finger-carbon interface standpoint? In particular, with open finger tipped gloves (normal summer gloves), exposed skin will be in contact with the carbon. Will this cause blisters (perhaps can be overcome by building up calluses) or will it be slippery when wet (e.g. fingers sweating and/or rain)? I'm not saying there would be a problem - just asking.

i hope i can test them soon. But i dont fear slippery. The grip is good. it is not covered with epoxi complete like a frame. It is more carbon with less epoxi. So the surface is grippy.

Ah ok. I thought you mean some local shop or something. I'm planning on purchasing a bunch of things from BTP so I'll wait until these are for sale.

How do you put them on?? Rubber ones are hard enough on Ergo levers.

You glue them on with contact glue. I already had a Campy set here and they made a pretty good impression on me. The other pics have been taken at the recent BTP meeting.

If bottle cages are on your list, he has some new prototype of a 9g cage that is suited for all bottles, not just conical ones.
