Thought it might be interesting to show you guys, although it aint that special.

Maybe planning on painting it with some nice graphics in my team colours (Orange/black/white) to match the new bike

I had mine stripped for over a year, its not the padding that makes it comfortable its the shape.

I did the same thing on my slr too...the weight was 119 grams without the padding. While it was as comfortable as before, the edges are quite rough now, even though i cleaned it 100% from the little pieces of dry glue after stripping it. As a result, it can destroy and tear your bike shorts much quicker...be cautious about that!

Shame rolls aren't £20 anymore. I love my Rolls just feels right but I want something lighter. Any idea of a lighter with the same shape?

Maybe it would be a good idea to post all your stripped saddles here? I'll change te topic name.
Has a lot to do with weightweeniing in my opinion.

(i'll watch for sharp edges, maybe i'll sand them down

back in the day they used to strip the padding off and then drill holes as necessary to increase the fit/comfort factor.

what is old is new, lol.
