Can anyone point me in the direction of weights for current Trek Madones (7, 6, 5, and 4-series)... Trying to figure out if it's worth the money to go with a higher end model or not :)

The 2012 models might be a good indicator. Just off the top of my head, for 2012 I seem to recall a big jump from 4 to 5 and then 5 and 6 were about the same and 5/6 to 7 was a marginal decrease.

Don't forget there is something that contributes to that weight difference. Don't make the decision simply on weight. Different grades of carbon fiber, layup, glue, method of construction, country of origin go into the 4-5-6-7 series of Madone frames. Weight isn't the only difference. Don't know but they may feel vastly different when riding.

It would be nice if Trek and all the other bike makers told us what there frames really weigh.
Instead all we get is a load of blah blah blah. Just tell us the real weight of the frame . If Im going to spend a big load of dosh then a simple question deserves a simple answer.

If you call trek they can tell you. Most of the times they have a list of frame weights. Good luck!
