I'm going to get a FM066 frame to make a #2 bike using left over parts including an Sram Red GXP crank.
Should I get BB30 or BSA? BSA seems so old fashioned. It would work with this crank but in the future I might want a BB30 crank. The increased heel clearance would be nice.
OTOH BSA just works. No fuss.
If I go BB30, which adaptor? Wheels' Manufacturing has two: http://wheelsmfg.com/products/bottom-br ... -sram.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; and the "multiadaptor": http://wheelsmfg.com/products/bottom-br ... ranks.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;.
I like the all in one style that clamps into the shell like the Praxis (http://praxiscycles.com/pages/conversion" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;) but have not found one for GXP, only Shimano.
Many, many, many threads on this

threaded BB may be old fashioned but they work so well I am relucant to make the move myself. Also you crankset is for threaded BB so it not like you need BB30 anyway. Given its a cheap chinese carbon frame have they really got the tolerances for BB30 right, maybe they have I really don't know.
I am still fan of aquare taper BB's. An old fashioned square taper crankset with a Ti BB can be as light as many modern cranksets and the bearings last a long time.
The wheels manufacuring BB30 adapters seem quite good. I have used them on customers bikes and no problems reported yet.

One key difference between BSA and BB30 or even PF30, is that threads do give you more tolerance for inperfect diameters.
