New race frame--advice

I can get a good deal through my shop sponsor on two frames--a 2011 Scott addict r2 and a 2011 de rosa merak. I'm looking for a race frame, not so much a pleasure cruise frame. Both fit me equally well, so I'm looking for advice here before I pull the trigger. Thanks in advance.

I see more guys on Scotts then DeRosas in races here.
If there is somewhere where you could get BB stiffness data for both - I would use that as a guide.
I also think if you damage a the frame somehow I would trust Scott's CS for a quicker response. YMMV.

Scott. The other one is too much form over function. Only nice thing about that De Rosa is the logo IMO. (And that is very nice)

So they fit you equally well, did you have a chance to ride them? Or are you eyeballing geometry charts? If you rode them, which handled better? Pick that one.

This is just your preconception maybe. The Merak reviews (wiggle, realcyclist) talk about a fine handling bike, stiff and racy as anything. It looks great in the flesh in comparison to the Scott and is more "exclusive" as well.

Remember, Scott no longer produces the Addict. if you have a warrenty issue you may get something different if you have a problem. I do not race, however my Scott Addict r1 is my go to bike for long steep hill rides.
