The bike weighs 8 lbs , 3630 grams almost dead on.
There never was a before weight The bike was gradually built up as each part
was made/modified or aquired. And because it took so long, some things were
stared again a second or 3 rd. time as my skills and ideas and finances changed.

Hi weeracerweenie, I already saw your works in other thread and i liked a lot, especially your "playspeeds". I would like your sram red levers even more if you varnish it for a more finished look, although i know that it could be a kind of sacrilage (adding grams instead of removing) and that this glazy look is my personal taste. Very nice work.

I've been folowing your thread monchito, very cool stuff, also i love the saddle shape, i ride an addict as well and i think the classic saddles just look better!

I LOVE all the people that build and create their own parts, its just so damn cool!

Dangit! Now I'm thinking that I really want to go after my Centaru levers and drill out the blades in a similar fashion. My luck will be snapping them though. Might have to get some replacement blades to play around with while still riding the stock ones..... Awesome work guys!

The tires on the bike are Tufo Jet elite's they are just over 300 grams the pair
roll quite well with high pressures and have a lot more wear life on them than
the tufo 120's I was originally planning to use for races and that were included
when the bike was 7.0 lbs before I started road testing/debugging.
I'll post a few more pics/details on some of the components and then I'll
do the complete bike.

@1spd I'm considering getting a second pair of levers and tryin CNC cutting the material out. They aren't to expensive and if I ever snapped one it's a 5 minute job to swap them... Though I haven't had any issues yet with them so fingers crossed!

@wally318 you really have done some fantastic work!

I was feeling a little nostalgic today and started thinking about some of the projects
that I worked on leading up to the finished project of the hillclimb bike. Some of them have been outdated as technology moved forward but were cutting edge when they were started. I've included this anyway just as something interesting, to show what can be done when you put your mind to something.
Here's a pic of a regina 10 spd chain. To use my huret jubilee derr. which was designed for 6 speeds, to be able to shift 8 I needed narrower cassette spacers and consequently a narrower
chain so I took a Regina SL hollow pin 7 speed chain made tooling to dimantle the links,
shortened the hollow pins, made a jig to hold the rollers and machined them thinner.
Made a special pin for the chain tool to reassemble the chain.
The chain is .85mm narrower than stock. I thought I had a fully assembled one somewhere,
but can't seem to find it. This section in the pic is 38 links and weighs 82 grams.
That's 237.4 gram/110 links.

These next pics are of a seat and seatpost I worked on.
The seat is a flite evolution that weighed 152 grams.
I got a set of hollow ti rails from a WW member in Latvia. Tweaked the angle a bit and shorted
to fit. Epoxied into place, along with some lighter front hardware. Trimmed the carbon along
the side and back. Weighs just under 96 grams.
The seatpost started as an AM.Classic. Only part of the original is the setback head piece.
Shank was turned down and epoxied into a custom machined 7075 tube. All clamp
hardware is new and made from scratch. 225mm seatpost is 123 or 124 grams.

Wally318 the only person keen enough to tune a chain! Haha seriously man you deserve your own thread for the stuff you do! That's seriously cool!
