FRONT Derailleur compatability

I'm planning a compact gearing setup with 46/34T .
Will a standard double chainring Front derailleur work
on this setup?

I use a campy record std Fmech on my compacts.....it's fine (arguably better than the first generation sram red which would otherwise match in the set-up)
