I have bought an extralite lockring for my sram xg1090 cassette but it doesn't fit, the thread is not deep enough to articulate with the cassette thread. Any nice lockrings with a deeper thread that will work with the xg1090 - will the POP lockring fit?

the thread is in the freehub, not the cassette, i don't recall sram's lockring being especially deep, sounds like something else is amiss

does the sram lockring fit? if not, check that...

a) you don't have a superfluous shimano spacer on the hub
b) the cassette is fully seated
c) the small cogs are correctly oriented

Thanks for response. cassette is orienyed correctly. the first thing i did was check for a spacer preventing proper engagement and there is none. the sram lockringthreads on fine and has a visibly longer thread. the wheelset is a lightweight meilenstein so dt swiss. anyone used a parts of passion lockring w a xg 1090?

I am a retard. The 11 was not aligned correctly and was stopping the threads engaging
