Fair deal: he gets Cosmic Carbone 80's; she gets Hermes...

Sweet mother of all Bici's, that is hot!, but then again I'm biased toward 'dales and deep wheels!

Haha, I was wondering if anyone would spot the Hermes bag. I'm waiting for the weather to dry up here in London and then I'll be out on them!

Hated it, went into 404's and will never look back. Wrong depth for wrong type of bike, especially if crit, road or group riding. 80mm wheels take too long to spin up and are only good for TT's. But it looks nice.

Mini review: They are heavier than 50mm wheels, granted, but once moving at speed they are brilliant, perceivably faster than shallower wheels. I'm going to get 52/36 chainrings, partly because of the wheels but also partly because I have got stronger. Freehub body pick-up could be faster but I can pedal through 90% of corners anyway thanks to moving to Speedplay. Sure, they are not the most comfortable wheels in the world but I didn't buy them to be comfortable, I bought them to be fast and they are.

If anyone does buy a pair of very deep wheels, I'll warn you, on club rides you'll cop a bunch of shit. The best riposte is to drop them, they'll be quite after that.

I have been riding them all summer and love them, not just for their performance but also for the smile factor, they just look mean.

Cav doesn't just win due to lead out trains. 808's can be sprinted on. And if you're serious about a TT, you'd have a disk and not an 808.
