If you had the choice of the two for roughly the same price, which would you choose and why?
Rail pros: wider rims, more aero, always wanted to try carbon wheels
Fulcrum pros: look awesome, excellent wet braking (I assume)' great hubs.
I'll be riding mostly flats solo. Thanks.

Both are nice wheel sets but also kinda price for what you get - particularly the Fulcrums. Why not consider a deeper wheel as well, there won't be much tangible aero benefit with a 35mm rim, I know Rail have a 52mm rim option.
I haven't ridden the new fulcrums, but I have ridden Mavics with Exalith and it is good. For that kind of money you could also do a very nice custom build with wide alloy clincher rims with White/Tune hubs etc.
