Again, sorry if i'm missing a topic somewhere for this, but i need help.
I weigh 93kg. Would it be safe to ride a AX-lightness Apollo saddle for Road use?

Weight limit for the Apollo is 85 kg, so from my point of view, no I would not call it "safe" to ride. Maybe if you were 1 to 2 kg over the limit, but 8 kg over is a little much in my book. The last thing I would want is to sit down and have that thing snap under me 50 kilometers from home. If that, or possibly having exposed broken carbon fibers jammed in your rear at some point sounds like too big of a risk, I would look elsewhere.... Really depends on what your definition of "safe" is. I really believe a saddle is one place not to skimp on.

Most likely the the rails/rail to saddle joint would fail first, which would be bad but not the worst possible scenario. It would be more of a challenge for the saddle itself to fail along the middle which might lead to the dreaded splinters up the bum. But after having my seatpost fail out on a ride, a few added grams is a sacrifice I would make to be sure that would never happen again.

Do it. Don't you think they are possibly a bit conservative and there would be a few Kg here or there of tolerance?

If you do it, watch out for those potholes.

I'm about your weight and have ridden both a carbon aspide with ti rails and a full carbon SMP w/ carbon rails.

on the carbon aspide, the joint between the rails and the saddle became creaky and loose (as hornedfrog says), but only after several years and many, many miles. (I can't remember the exact mileage, but it was around the mfg's projected lifetime for the saddle).

the full carbon SMP didn't fare as well. one of the carbon rails cracked after 2 1/2 years. the saddle itself was fine, and the joints were still good.

I replaced it with a carbon SMP w/ steel rails.

on balance, I would advise against the Ax lightness. but if you want to take the chance, you can probably get away with it for awhile. I don't think the saddle itself splintering is very likely. the rails may go sooner for you than for an <85kg person.

So the main concern is the rails cracking. I can live with that. Now i read that the Apollo isn't that nice a ride. So maybe i should go for something els. The Kom-vor is allso limited, but should be the same story?

Try Berks combo. I had mine spec'ed to 90 kg and the whole combo weighs in at 165 g
