Today (in a bike shop) I saw some titanium cnc brakes i've never seen before, they looked a lot like TRP 960 in a dark grey color.
In the brake was written titanium.
The price was 160 euro's for the pair but I can not remember the brand name (it was something with 3 characters).

Someone have an idea?

Here's a wild guess: FRM, not that I recommend stuff from that company, if it's even still in business.

These: http://www.bc2adesign.com/

are the only Ti brakes I know of. The manufacturer is a friend of mine. He's no longer making them. There's a link on the page that explains why.

Nope, it was not those 2, I had never heard from the brand.

They did have the cable tension/brake opening lever like sram and shimano has near the cable fixing point.

Seriously. I don't know why this wasn't priority uno the second you realized you had forgotten to write the name down.

some brakes are anodized a color that looks like it's ti. others are labelled ti when they're talking about the hardware. yet others share both these traits.

These are not Ti. Only pivot bolt seems to be Ti.

Intuitively ti isn't the best material for making brakes. Very difficult to work with, and if machined out of a block probably much heavier than alu (by 66%). Price point also makes me think it's a low cost brand (typically ti parts cost 4-8 times more than a comparable alu part) which tend to have less testing.

Hmm not too different from the ones linked to earlier in the thread http://www.bc2adesign.com/

I wish they still made the coloured speedplay bowties but they don't :(
