Okay, my discount frame came on friday. Overall quality seems good, some little imperfections (weard reflections) with the clear coat and seat tube sticker was poorly attached - little bit disapointed with that. Ripped the sticker away, and made a polishing touch, and everythinbg was ready to be built up. Was wery interested to see the real weight.

Bare (stripped) frame with campagnolo BBright-cups was 832g, size 54.
Uncut fork was 316g (cut 284g).

Did not want to ding the cups away because they were installed by the shop for my request. I have no idea how much the cups weight. Regular outer campagnolo bb-cups are 44g.

Has anyone weighted those BBright-cups?

Frame weight seems to be little bit on a high side, should weight of size 56 VWD be around 760g?

define BARE frame? Your weight seems about right if you are weighing truly bare (w/out H2O bolts, rear mech hanger, cable guide, seatpost clamp, chainstay protector). If you account for BBcups which probably weigh around 40 gms, looks like it weighs-in at about 792 gm...not bad.

Hi,

I weighted the frame after stripping off everything else but bbcups

About 40g Is also my guess for bbcups - would be nice to know exact weight..

Hi kampiakseli,

Is that a bbright or bb30 adapter? Seems very light - so frame would be above 800g...

That's around what is expected for the VWD. Some have been even lighter

Lucky you!

Hopefully my extra weight is somewhere it has some significance, and not just ultra thick clearcoat :D

Maybe I have to take stickers of from my Boras - or get Madfibers

Are you sure that you stripped everything out of the frame (seatpost collar, bottle cages bolts, dlr hanger)?
It's a bit weird, only 25g difference between 54 and 58 (my bare frame 832g).

You can shave a bit of the cable guide bolt, which is made of steel, I use nylon one. 2g savings

Yep, I took everything out. Still not sure about the bbright adapter weight. This starts to bother me so much I might even go, strip the bike and knock the adapters off and weight the damn BARE frame.
