I am considering adding a pair of deep profile wheels (say 80+ mm) to the armoury. What are your favourites and why?

I would search the forums for your answer or at least to come up with some ideas first. After you get a few that you like, come back and let people add or subtract from your ideas. Good luck with the wheel choice!

I think the Enve 8.9s would be a good option. They have roughly cut brake track which makes braking grabby even in the wet. Additionally, they have a much wider profile than other options which enhances the predictability of the ride quality particularly in the corners. Additionally, they come with a 5 year warranty which is hard to match.

Remember that large depth doesn't always equate to good aerodynamics. If you are going to add the weight and take on a little more side wind sensitivity you might as well get something thats proven aerodynamic.
To that end, Enve, Hed, Zipp and Mavic all have proven aero deep wheels.
