What battery are you using? what did you use to physically do the drilling?

Nice work but as I was very interested in this sort of project myself, it stopped me when I was reading in another WW topic that Scott would be against drilling cause the carbon tubes are too thin. :|

did it with a dremel and the battery is from ebay seller "eapathome", who is a member in this forum

that's BS
my previous frame was a FACTORY DRILLED 2009 scott addict R1 - the tubes are exactly the same and the holes are also on the same locations.

it´s CONvenient: the charger that comes with the internal battery charges thru the front wiring harness. You don't need to connect it to battery for charging. Just unplug the head unit cable and plug the charger to the wire.

I don't have Di2 at all but am just curious if the battery just drops all they way down to the bottom, hangs there, weges some how, stops at the bottle cage bolt area??? Just curious. Looks good though. Nothing like drilling a perfectly nice frame! Well done!

of course they still sell them like that - but now it's the FO1L version (addict R1 are no longer made)

i wrapped the battery with rubber (old inner tube) so it fits tight against the inside of the seatpost - this way it doesn't slip up/down.

excellent work!

what do you do to ensure the wires do not rub on the crank spindle? gravity will want to pull them down a bit. that bend from the downtube wire as it curves up the seat tube is an issue (minor one!) i've had on a similar project i did.

was it difficult to get a dremel inside the bottom bracket? i'd imagine the angles are tight.
