The bottleneck is probably YOU, but you can't upgrade that!

Just kidding... I'd say get some nicer wheels.

Is it purely the weight of the wheels that makes you suggest they need changing?

I think it's just that there are much better wheels out there for moderately acceptable money through to outrageous. And you will notice a massive difference in performance, whereas if I told you to go buy a Thomson Masterpiece seatpost you would not notice any difference whatsoever.

There is lots of choice around wheels - it depends what you want - whether weight, aero or stiffness is the priority and then how much you want to spend. I'd say a nice pair of carbon aero tubs would be nice. Maybe some Enves or second hand Mavic CCU if you want to try stiff wheels. Otherwise if you just want something lighter some Chinese carbon tubs and ebay hubs will get to just under a kilo for not too much money. Then add some nice 220-250g tubulars - pretty much anything other than Tufo and you have a nice wheelset which will not let you down every time you see some gravel.

Thanks, was just curious as I have some Sprints and other than wishing they were a bit lighter, really like them. I am glad I didn't pay full price or anywhere near though as I don't think they are a £650 wheelset.

(Sorry to detract from the OP slightly)
