I have searched (and searched and asked my LBS etc.)

I want to buy a set of Bontrager Aura 5 wheels set up for Shimano 7900. (on ebay ending soon!)

In the future I want the Shimano 9000 groupset.

Does Bontrager have a free hub body that I can buy and swap? or do i have to buy a whole new hub and get it relaced etc etc?

The higher end Aerolus wheels have a part number listed on their site for a different free hub body. So it makes me wonder....

With thanks

Drew

(I will post an official answer if Bontrager do get back to me)

I know Bontrager uses DT hubs on some of their wheels, so maybe you could just get a new DT freehub and whatever else is needed?

A response within 24 hours from Trek. Well done then. And this can be added to the archives.

"Thanks for writing. Yes you will be able to convert freehub bodys to run 11 speed. Part # w431450 should be avaliable November 12 and can be ordered through any Trek retailer.

Sincerely, "
