Hello.

I've been searching on the topic on upgrading a campy 10 speed to 11 speed. Several past post seem to suggest that all you need are the 11 speed ergo shifters, 11 speed rear derailleur, chain, cassette, and cable/housing. However, I'm not certain on whether an 11 speed crankset and front derailleur are needed. Some are saying that you need the 11 speed crank, or specifically the chain ring because it's thinner. The same for the front derailleur.

So whats the real story? Will upgrading to 11 speed require a new crank and front derailleur? And if not, will the shifting be as good or is it a "compromised" shifting in terms of more noise and rubbing?

Thanks for any inputs.

When 11 spd came out this was researched.

all you need are Levers, cassette, chain, RD.

All the other 10 speed stuff will be fine.
There's sometimes a buggy.
How many drivers does a buggy have?

One.

So let's just say I'm drivin' this buggy...
and if you fix your attitude you can ride along with me.

You don't even need a RD if you own a file.
