I understand that many people are struggling to find an actual weight figure for their 3t ergonova pros; a handlebar which has been in production for a good few years, and has seen some developments along the way, some for better, some for worse.
From what i gather, the bars were made from 7075 aluminium up until last year, and the 2012 version is made from 7050 aluminium, this is why the weight figures all seem a bit unpredictable because of their large variation.

Here is what i found:

2009 model - 7075: 40cm = no info, 42cm = 325g, 44cm = 282g.
2010 model - 7075: 40cm = no info, 42cm = 266g, 44cm = no info.
2011 model - 7075: 40cm = 260g , 42cm = 265g, 44cm = 288g.

2012 model - 7050: 40cm = 257g , 42cm = 277g, 44cm = no info.

Again, these figures are for the pro aluminium bar only. I identified the year of each bar by the time at which product reviews were posted, or when an online shop has sold an item as past season stock. Then i got the weights from that.

I hope this solves your dilemmas. Thanks

Thanks! The manufacturer's site indicated a 300 plus gram weight. Seems like Competitive Cyclist is accurate.

This really helps my decision in upgrading to carbon!

Sorry artray, no weight figures for the LTD bar, but I imagine you can still compare the numbers shown on as many of the websites which either sell, or review the bars.

I may have got the wrong end of the stick; so it is true that 3t have indeed not updated their website, and while they state it weighs 326g for size 42 - this is a weight taken from 2009 or earlier, so it is not to be believed. I can safely say that you can purchase a new ergonova pro bar at a weight mucvh closer to 260g than 330.

Thanks for the weights chazzawoods.
Looking to buy a set. Can you confirm that the bars are the stated width at the ends but taper in a bit at the hoods (like the old Prima and Less bars)?
Cheers.

The thing that bothered me most about the Ergonova Pro was the inaccurate reach and drop measurements. My 42cm bars had a deeper drop than my FSA Wing Pro Compact, by about 8mm! Always ask the seller about weights and measurements. I have since sold mine....
