Has anyone had any direct experience of removing decals from an Easton EC90 SL carbon stem or similar Easton carbon components. I know the subject of decal removal has been done to death and the search i carried out gave lots of useful information. I guess the best option is to wet sand.
I'm just a little nervous as to how it will look when done and if it would require some form of clear coat to finish. The stem already has a nice subtle matt finish which I would like to preserve.
Any help and/or advice much appreciated.

If you can get carbo lift that will just take the decals off. If not and this is what I would do . Just wet sand the whole thing ,it will look great and if you want it to stay matt just use a bit of aero 303 for protection . I have done this to loads of parts ,cranks ,seatpost ,seat. my 5900 frame , it looks awesome and very clean and tidy.
