I am looking at replacing my existing fork (1-1/2" to 1-1/8") with an Enve 1.0 fork. Do I need something like
that or what exactly?

If an adaptor like this is used, would that affect the handling or anything else? Also would I be able to use a normal campag headset?

I had a similar issue when wanting to fit standard 1 1/8 steerer forks to a Giant Defy frame with an 1 1/4 lower race. I don't think there is anything commercially available, what you show is I think a mountain bike adapter for possibly an external headset? I just basically used a shim to enable me to fit the 1 1/4 inch lower race to a standard 1 1/8 fork crown.

Hi,
I am looking at replacing my existing fork (1-1/2" to 1-1/8") with an Enve 1.0 fork.
Assuming the 1" Enve fork is a straight piped fork you'll need two different adapters; one to take the 1/2" slack and one for the 1/8" slack.
I'm not sure those even exist.
Any particular reason for this surgery? (Just curious)
Ciao,

Weight loss and hope for better handling!
@thisisatest thanks for that. If I use that crown race do I need a headset like that
http://chrisking.com/headsets/hds_onepointfive or my existing 1.5"-1.125" will do? It's 1 1/8" - 1 1/2" Hidden 45x45. Sorry I am very uneducated when it comes down to headset sizes/forks etc..

is there anything to convert a 1 1/8th fork to fit my giant omnium with 1.25 lower bearing race, there are a couple of things from fsa and others for 1.5 lowers but nothing for 1.25?

brearley - did you find anything?
I have the same issue. The head tube of my Giant TCX 2 has a 1 1/8 inch upper diameter and a 1 1/4 lower diameter. I want to use an Easton EC90X fork which has a straight 1 1/8 inch steerer diameter.
Surely there's some kind of adapter for the lower assembly - a lower bearing cup and crown race that swallows the fork's 1 1/8 steerer yet sits in a 1 1/4 head tube?

Can I buy this shim anywhere? And it works well for you?

Nope never did find a solution not that I looked too hard. Simplest way would be to find some tubing of 1.25 inch outer diameter with 1.125 internal diameter then use the 1.25 crown race. Not looked at the tcx forks but the omnium has the crown race built in if this is the case on yours you'd have to find someone with a lathe and some engineering skills
