Perhaps someone out there might machine a 1 piece faceplate, although I suppose that might defeat the lightweight selling point of the stem. I got the stem because I like the way it looks (polish on black, delogo'd) but since the weight is a lie anyway (114g vs 99g claimed) I would prefer a faceplate that "feels" safe with a 1 piece design.

I'm sure its fine. I'm anywhere between 62 and 63 kilos and I dont think I torque on my bars that much, at least not on the road bike. Just looking for reassurance I guess.

Incidentally, since the Oval concepts bars on my bike are a bit wider than I like, I was going to replace them with a narrower bar (same model as I really like the shape - http://www.ovalconcepts.com/road/bars/910-bar) and thought about getting their SL version which is claimed at 172g. However, reading some of the reviews with the superleggero stem/bars combo I am hesitant to opt for the SL since I dont know where those extra 43 grams are coming from and I'm afraid that they are too thin to play nice with the 2 piece design.

My 110mm was also between 108-109 grams. Enough difference to make me rethink getting the matching handlebars...

Looks good, though...

I've never understood the angle when given in 82 or 84 when compared to a 6 deg or 8 deg. What does the 82 equate too?

The sum is always 90, so 84° is the same as 6°, and 82° is 8°.

Oh that's easy enough. Thank you. Nobody had ever explained it to me.

I find the stem fine but I'm using Deda alloy handlebars...

Mine have been holding ok but combined with the matching carbon bar it is a very flexy setup.

Just received my 120mm stem. Weighs in at 116g. Expecting a pretty stiff setup with the Ritchey SuperLogic Logic II handlebars...

can anyone testify to its stiffness? I have read through and some seem to think it is a fairly flexy stem while others are saying its very stiff.

Any pictures that you can show? Can you shed any light on if it feels as stiff as you were hoping it to be?
