hello. been lurking here for a bit now and am kinda new to cycling (about 9 months).

was on a pinarello fp due, but recently switched to a trek domane.

i have just the regular bontrager wheels on there now and am looking to upgrade to some carbon wheels.

i don't want to spend [that] much. any recommendations would be appreciated with a budget of approx. $1,500.

i primarily commute, weekend rides consist of approx. 50-75km (on pretty bad roads sometimes)

i'm also considering weight limits on the wheels as i'm around 185 pounds (need to shed)

Thus far, i've looked at:

spinergy stealth ($750)
HED Jet 5 ($1,500)

thanks in advance!

Two others I'd have on my list are Shimano's RS80 - C50 and Bontrager's Aura 5.

Another vote for the RS80 C50! They are awesome

With a budget like that I would (and did) buy a used set of higher end wheels. It's not difficult to find lightly used sets of Zipps, Enves, etc. for under $1500.
