Mine is 127.7 with a tuning kit. I guess a Fibre Lite inner plate might save a few grams, or some judicious paring down?

Good stuff.

I can't wait to here how these ride. Mine shifts soooo well and crisp, I am really scared to mess with it for 20 or so grams.

Tuning kit? As in you purchased a kit that is ready-to-go for modifying your Red RD rather than sourcing out individual bolts and such?
Could you provide a source for this "kit" ?

Great job toutenhoofd!

I'm sure these mods didn't cost nearly $1,200USD. May I ask how much $$$ you put into this project? I can't find that info in the blog.

Check www.xx-light-bikes.de (see under 'Aktuelles') for tuning kits.

This tuning kit interests me. It's not going to save quite as much weight as what I did, but the pulleys are alloy rather than carbon, and I suppose those might last longer. Does anyone here have experience with them?

Here is my 122g Sram Red RD. I am getting a new part built at work in the machine shop but I think I might only get it down to 121g.

Nice! Lighter than the Lightweight, which is claimed 120 g:

I'm curious, however, how those pulleys will look in 2000 km.

I agree the pulleys could be the weak link here, However they do have nice sealed bearings in them. The plates are rock solid. I guess worse case you could use KCNC pulleys and still be 124g.
For now i am going to run the carbon pulleys until they fail and will post results.

Thanks

Rick
