Got hit by a car and trashed my front wheel. They were a set of Williams 38 clinchers. I'm getting a deal on the wheels. Looking at the tubular version or either one. Lots of fast group rides 25-30. seems like aero wouldnt be an advantage if in a group. The 3s will be more aero then the Williams wheels even at 35mm. The weight is enticing on the 3s at 1150g. I'm sure they will spin up nicely. The 5s are aero but with a 200g penalty.

Aero sill is a considerable factor even when drafting.

Aero is always important. You are always riding through the air.

The biggest aero benefit will be in the front. Go Aeolus 5!

The biggest weight penalty will be in the back. Go Aeolus 3!

Personally, I like the look of the 5 over the 3, and the added aero benefit over the weight penalty.

I would have gone with a set of 5 but we can have extreme and unpredictable crosswinds here so the 3,5 setup works very well in that regard. My preference would be a set of 5, and I'm on the lookout for a 5 front currently for other applications.

Bridgeman you running tubulars? With that 27mm rim width what size tire you run? I can get the bontrager xxx tub 23mm for a deal.

Currently I have a Vittoria SR @ 24mm on the front and a CX @ 25mm on the rear. Eventually I'll go with a 23mm CX on the front and stay with the 25mm rear. These are tubular tires.

I love this rig!

Nick, sorry to read of your misfortune. I hope you're healing rapidly!
