I have tried and failed to get my extralite pulleys to work on my SRAM red setup (11-28, 10 speed, Q rings 52/36)

If they shift OK on one chainring they don't shift well on the other.

The top jockey has been centered using teflon tape, B limit was adjusted appropriately to allow for difference in wheel tooth height.

Anyone else had troubles getting these to work - they seem to be stable and spin freely when mounted and the chain held away but fail to shift cleanly.

Any other lighter jockeys work?

Thanks

Have you tried putting the stock pulleys back in and seeing if shifting is back to normal?

Yeah shifting is fine with the stock jockeys re-installed. Just noticed the extralite are 10T versus the 11T of the stock SRAM jockey - is this likely to make a significant difference? Extralite now make 11T jockeys.

Bottom pulley will work top one will not. Top pulley on red 10s if totally fixed and doesn't play well with after market pulleys. New 22 mechs are fine but the 10s mechs don't play well..

How old is your chain? The chain might be stretched and not contacting pulley teeth correctly.

Sorry sugarkane - what do you mean totally fixed - as in no float? Cause I believe that the extralite pulleys offer no float. Are they any pulleys that will work with SRAM 10 speed? Why is SRAM 22 any different?

Cheers

I've got a set of Token pulleys on 10s Red right now and all is well after two seasons (KMC chain). I originally replaced just the bottom pulley, worried that shifting would suck with both Token pulleys, but after a while got courageous and replaced the top pulley as well. Didn't see any difference in shifting.

Just checked the width of the extralite pulleys and they are thick than the sram pulleys, this means that the chain will be more inboard than standard. Are people using washers on the hanger bolt to account for this?
