I plan on racing the heffron crit summer series ( in Sydney Australia ) later this year.
It's a pretty poor excuse for a new wheel set. But... Which wheels to get
Right now my two choices are evne smart 6.7s or 3.4s built up to alchemy hubs
Mad cow recommends the 3.4s as a crit wheel but.... I already have a sub kg extralite edge 1.45 wheelset and if your doing fast laps of heffron, while there are a lot of corners, if your a good bike handler you don't brake so much as take the corners very hard..

If I didn't have a carbon wheelset already I'd get the 3.4s, total no brainer.
My serious concern is if I got the 3.4s I basically won't use the 45 wheelset again and I've just rebuilt the rear with a new hub ( a reasonable investment ). If I get the 6.7s I'll still use the 45s for hilly rides.
Av lap times for heffron range from 35kph-45kph so it's in the range that the 6.7s work well in. I'd also like to use these as my every day trainers and save the lighter wheelset for situations that suit them better ( right now they are my every day wheels ) also I don't really have time to race any other tracks regularly

Discuss!

Get the 6.7s. You already have the 45s which will do roughly the same as the 3.4s anyways

Haha I hope they don't weigh bikes in c grade.

It'll still be 1kg under the Uci limit
