Canyon ultimale al frameset

Does anyone know if the ultimate al frameset is available anywhere in the usa? that is all

The official answer is NO

From my understanding Canyon will not ship their bikes to the US or Australia or appoint a distributor for Canyon in those countries. (from what I have heard Canyon claim product liability laws are the problem).

I know this because I live is Australia and own a Canyon Ultimate AL8 frameset which I bought from somebody, who bought from somebody who imported it privately from Europe. Did a little research found this thread on BNA: http://bicycles.net.au/forums/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=20871&hilit=canyon and there is a thread or two here too.

You need somebody from Europe to buy it and then have it shipped to US.

study their website carefully; somewhere i read that they do ship to the usa, not to home addresses but to air freight handling companies' pick up points
(too lazy to look it up now
not sure how cost-effective that will be though..
