E-bay and Paypal discount codes

Not sure this is the place but I found the following and confirm the second code works - only for buy it now items:

'Save on your eBay and purchases by using PayPal and the following coupon codes:

C1-Holiday2005: 10% off before shipping/handling (up to $25)
C2-Holiday2005: $5 off if you spend over $50
C3-Holiday2005: $15 off if you spend over $100

(Note, $ discounts are converted to £ for UK purchases)

The codes apply for purchases made between November 7 and November 30 for Buy-It-Now auctions, limited to 1 use per person'.

Can I ask where these codes came from? Are they for a certain retailer or ebay seller or is this something that Ebay and Pay Pal are doing?

They're an e-bay promotion alongside Paypal - you must pay by Paypal. I've used the first and second ones and confirm they worked for me.

If you use promotional code 'CHRISTMAS' you'll get up to a maximum of £2.50 off postage on any item bought with Paypal. Not sure for purchases outside of the UK.
