hi there,

am about to press the button on a custom build.

i was offered the option of a Deda Super Scurro or a Cinelli Pro Best Of frame and out of preference (i like aero frames), I'm gravitating towards the Deda.

the build I am looking at is as follows:-

Super Scurro frame / forks - XL
Campag Athena Carbon 11s groupset (compact)
Dual-pivot rear caliper
Campag Bullet Utra Dark Label clinchers
Open Corsa Evo CX 23mm tyres with ultralight tubes
Deda Zero 100 stem and bar combo
Selle Italia SLR XP saddle
Cushioned tape

I know that this isn't massively weight weenie or as expensive as many of the builds on here, but at 90kgs I don't want to get too carried away on silly-light wheels, stems or bars.

The deal I have been offered is fantastic so I'm very tempted.

thoughts?

cheers

Sounds alright. The Bullets are especially light for the money. Do you definitely want aero wheels? If I were spending that much on Campag wheels I'd probably favour the Eurus or Shamals.

EDIT: Although having said that, I suppose aero frame does imply aero wheels.

i had originally factored in shamal ult 2-ways, but i do most of my riding on the flat, so aero wheels appeal (i think there is about 100g in it based on published weights if i go for the ultra versions rather than the standard bullets)
