My wife came thru and for my birthday got me a set of custom wheels per my discussion with Jason at Fairwheel Bikes. I always wanted Chris King Hubs and the build is the following.

KINLIN XR-19W RIMS 24F/28R
CHRIS KING R45 HUBS
SAPIM CX-RAY SPOKES

The ride compared to my Mavic Ksyrium SL's is like night and day. I would say the Mavics were smooth but were a little harsh on the chip and tar roads. My new wheels are smooth on every surface and spin up very quickly, I am just amazed on how different the ride is on these wheels. I only have about 75 miles on them and they are just fantastic to ride. Loved my mavics but I think they will have to sit on the shelf for a while and be my spares. I see no reason to switch back Jason if you catch this post thanks for your help on a great build.

Sounds like a nice build. Weight? Photos?

Your wife is awesome. Don't forget to give her a really big hug after each ride!
