Bontrager Aoleus 3D3 clinchers... shallow aero, DT spokes and hubs..

I have the tubular version, but they are great all rounder wheels......

Thx for all the replies & pm's!

I am tending to the campi hyperon ultra two clinchers!

Campi all over my bike
Looks
Performance
Saves me 300+gr on current setup bringing me to sub 6900gr!
Much more comfort vs current 404fc

Good second is the LW ventoux .... Looks even more stealthy, but somehow I dont know about them... And a lot more expensive... Besides this; i am not going for tubes, even if the whole world is laughing at me as some suggest...

Just got a reply from Campi on the weight limits;

Do not use when over 109kg body weight
Under 82kg no extra inspection needed
Between 83-108 kg regular inspect wheels.

So with my 88 (going to 86) i should be oke.

P.s Before anybody makes a comment ;-)
I am 1.94m and athletically build, so not fat at all!

Sorry Pascal, can you be a bit more specific, are those weight limits for all campy wheels ( esp eurus and zonda) or just the hyperons?

Wheels are in! Awesome!

Only thing I do not like is the cheap decal stickerset on them... I might take them off...

Need to wait for a ride since they provided wrong brake pads (dura ace version..... Duhhhhh... With a campa body?!)

Both sets on my c59 were tubies, but you can get the LW and enve in clinchers. Here is a photo of what they might look like.

Campy recommends max rider weight of 108kg on all of their high end wheelsets (Mavic is 100kg in the fine print)
Campy hubs are the best in the universe bar none but at 88kg the stiffness of the Hyperon may not be optimum
Enve 3.4's are a great option - strong for bigger riders, best braking of all carbon rims I have tried, wide aero rim design makes them docile in cross winds and allows use of bigger tires (25mm+) which improves ride quality and cornering.
At least one of the manufacturer's recommended in this post are releasing new wheel version/models in this high-end category at/around Eurobike in the next 4 weeks or so which would be great candidates.
Tubulars ride great but unless you are willing to carry a spare and can change them on the road in 5 mins don't bother - goo is no solution for a gash to the sidewall miles from home. Modern clinchers and open tubulars ride nearly as well.

Today finally had a chance to ride my new wheels.

136km hilly ride (775 height meters).

In short; I like the hyperons a lot!

They are responsive, very comfortable and still stif.
They feel not as fast as my 404fc, but thats what was expected.
Sidewind control much beter.

The CULT bearings are super!
Absolutely 0.0000 play in the bearing or hubs, what I like very much.
Even when climbing 14% (yes we have a short one in The Netherlands) and out of the saddle i felt no flex in the wheels or touching the brakepads.

About the brakepads; so much more stopping power vs the cork zipp pads!

Looks are also fantastic to the bike.
Only the decals do look a bit cheapo by the way they are mounted on the rims...

Thx all for advising!
