how to center a single pivot brake?

I cant seem to center the new sram red brake calipers. when i turn the front nut it centers but the moment i pull on the brake levers there out of center again?! Does anyone have a trick to the single pivot brakes???

yep copied it step by step, seems that single pivot brakes are a pain to center compared to dual pivot.

it should not be a problem if installed correctly..
try checking the housing length and lubricate the spring contact points.

Hi,

Do you have at least one serrated washer installed between the brake and the frame? That should stop the brake from twisting as you pull the cable.

...also, make sure the fixing bolt is not bottoming out and preventing your caliper from being fully tightened.
