I'm new to the forums here. Been looking to build up my first weight weenie for a while now (a Scott CR-1 frame with EC-90 wheels), but am just starting the process.

Has anyone had any experience with Dia Compe BRS-300 brakes? They're listed as weighing in at 202g for the pair here: http://weightweenies.starbike.com/listi ... ortby=real which makes them one of the lightest pairs & someone appears to have them for sale on eBay here: http://www.ebay.com/itm/280926717872

Think I should bite?

Is the weight savings worth it for single vs. dual pivot calipers? Or should I just worry more about what pads I use when it comes to stopping power?

202g without brake pads or shoe holders, and without barrel adjusters. he states 290g complete. dura ace is about that, and loads more powerful.
